Program Description:

CET Japan

CET Japan

Choose your language curriculum: 12 credits or 6 credits. Either way, you'll learn—and start using—a ton of Japanese! Live in single-room apartments near campus with local roommates. Take on out-of-class projects and interview locals. Weekend trips and group excursions take you off the tourist map, to hot springs or a re-created ninja village. Japanese language learners of all levels and majors are welcome to attend the fall and spring programs. The summer program has a full-time language pledge and is open to students with at least 2 previous semesters of Japanese language.

Dive into learning and experiencing Japan.

  • Flexible Japanese language curriculum (choose 6 credits or 12 credits—you'll cover the entire textbook in one semester if you choose 12 credits!)
  • Language projects and exercises that take students outside the classroom
  • Unique studio art elective opportunities
  • Single room apartments
  • No language prerequisite for the fall and spring (Summer pre-req: at least 2 semesters of previous Japanese language study)
