Program Focus
Participants will lead English classes as well as training, workshops and events centered around improving awareness in the community in a range of topics including health, women's empowerment, education and more. You will conduct research in order to best understand the community. Interns may therefore conduct interviews, data collection or write articles to deliver workshops, training and lessons to local community members, students we work with and our local partners. Interns may also work closely with our local partners to assist and support them in day-to-day tasks they carry out and their future project plans. Interns are valuable asset to the GVI team, supporting us to maintain and expand our existing projects, and carrying our essential research into fundamental themes into our projects including gender equality, literacy rates among others.

Location
Experience the Kingdom of Cambodia with its captivating cultural history and iconic temples and monuments. Siem Reap is a hive of activity, where medieval architecture abuts lively markets, diverse restaurants and riverside hangouts. Further out from the city you can enjoy the stunning natural landscapes, filled with lush greenery, glistening rice paddies and waving sugar palms. Local non-governmental organisations in Cambodia have made massive strides during the past two decades in uplifting their communities. In 2017, we were contacted by a number of these organisations who focus on sustainable development to ask if we would be able to provide the kind of support they need to make their objectives a reality. By joining GVI as an intern Cambodia you will take an active role in improving the educational and community initiatives in Siem Reap.
