The Service-Learning in Belize Study Program
 
Program Overview
The Service-learning in Belize study abroad program is focused on community enrichment and intercultural learning.
 
The program offers participants an opportunity to make a difference in a Belizean community through engaging and reciprocal learning experience that provides structure and support for long-term value in a welcoming and collaborative community.

Community partners seek out assistance with projects that will make both short and long-term impacts on the community and on our participants.
 
Our community partners make a commitment to engage our participants in meaningful projects that offers an opportunity to learn while creating value for everyone involved.
 
Through civic engagement and structured reflection, you will advance your appreciation for social responsibility, global awareness, and diversity.

Service-learning possibilities could include working with a school and its students to paint classrooms or helping families assemble homemade health aid devices for children with disabilities.  A freshly painted classroom that is bright and clean makes a world-of-difference for local students.
