Gain international work experience from home!

Enhance your semester or summer and gain professional experience with a remote, virtual, international internship placement!  An Arcadia Abroad Virtual Global Internship provides you with international work experience and a four-credit internship course to add to your studies at your home school.

Students can choose from virtual placements in a number of cities:
  • Dublin, Ireland
  • Edinburgh, Scotland
  • London, England
  • Rome, Italy
  • Sydney, Australia

Virtual Global Internship Placement Guide: A placement coordinator will work with you to match your placement with your career goals and interests to help you gain relevant, international experience that's right for you. Placements are available in a wide range of areas from social media assignments and web content creation, to performing research for business development projects, to developing communication content and plans for non-profit organizations, and much more.

During the program, you'll enjoy mentoring, networking, and reflection time with Arcadia staff and faculty in the country where you are pursuing your internship. A digital resume workshop is included to help you articulate your experience to future employers and graduate admissions officers. Your global network will grow through Arcadia staff and faculty and through your employer. You’ll also meet other virtual interns from schools across the US.

  • You can choose one of these options for your virtual internship placement duration:
    • Semester: 12 weeks, ~20 hours per week (10 synchronous, 10 independent) 
    • Summer: 6 weeks, 3 days per week
 
  • Our in-country staff have curated a library of free, online excursions to help you look beyond your placement and to engage with your host community. You’ll have loads of fun exploring and discovering.

  • This program is rigorous, flexible, and fun. Placements are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so submit your application and confirm your participation early.
