Program Overview
The natural resource tourism program will help you explore the connection between tourism management and natural resource management. Understand the priorities and practice of eco-tourism and nature-tourism and the value and impact on the natural and cultural ecosystems.
You will build a foundation with the history, theory, industry standards, case studies, and human behavior for a tourism target audience and develop a proposal to be reviewed by one of Belize’s most influential conservation organizations.

Deliver a nature-based tourism proposal to our partner conservation NGO in Belize
After exploring the fundamentals of the eco-tourism industry, you will compare and contrast cultural and environmental tourism across Belize; analyze the potential for an entrepreneurial endeavor at a specified facility, and develop a business proposal for establishing a new sustainable tourism project.
