Medical Outreach Volunteer Program in Argentina.
On this program, you will assist with regular medical campaigns that aim to widen the reach of public health in slums in Buenos Aires. Volunteers will gain hands-on medical experience while learning about healthcare systems in low-income areas and bringing essential services to people who would otherwise be unable to access quality care.
Volunteers are accommodated in a multi-story, dormitory-style volunteer hostel in the neighborhood of Recoleta in central Buenos Aires. It has free WiFi and great facilities for volunteers, including a top terrace and deck for socializing, communal kitchen and living areas.
The program has
start dates every Monday throughout the year.
This program ranges from 1-12 weeks. Your fully-hosted experience includes airport pick-up, orientation, accommodation, meals and 24/7 support. Detailed pricing information for your duration is available

Your Impact
As a Medical Outreach volunteer you can help local people with health evaluations, health prevention talks, and basic preventive checkups in a small clinic located in the slum. You will also be moving around the slum, visiting houses and carrying out meetings with patients alongside local nurses and professionals. You can expect to carry out tasks such as:
- Educating local people on important health issues
- Helping where needed around the clinic
- Heart rate
- Blood pressure
- Glucose levels
- Weight
- Height
- BMI
- General checkups

How to Apply
- Select your start date & duration: All IVHQ volunteer programs are available year-round and you can choose to volunteer for durations on this program ranging from 1 to 12 weeks.
- Complete your registration: After you have been accepted on your chosen program, you can secure your place by paying the Registration Fee.
- Pay your Program Fee: This is only due 30 days before your program starts.
