Homeless Support Volunteer Program in Greece.
On this program, you will get involved with local non-profit organizations that help provide aid to homeless people in Athens. As a volunteer in Greece, you’ll help NGOs provide basic services to vulnerable people, such as food, water, clothing, and help with legal documentation.
Volunteers are accommodated in a dormitory-style hostel conveniently located in the heart of Athens. Only a 4 minute walk from Omonia Square, where the second most central metro stop is, and a 30 minute walk to Acropolis. The neighborhood offers many amenities, supermarkets, bars, local coffee shops, ATMS’s, shopping malls and all transportation means. The airport is just 45 minutes away via public transportation.
The program has
start dates on the first and third Monday of each month throughout the year.
This program ranges from 1-12 weeks. Your fully-hosted experience includes airport pick-up, orientation, accommodation, meals and 24/7 support. Detailed pricing information for your duration is available

Your Impact
As a Homeless Support volunteer in Greece, you will support local nonprofits offering legal help with documentation, support with recruitment activities and outreach activities to vulnerable people in need. Your day to day tasks will vary but you can expect to help with the following tasks:
- Food preparation and distribution
- Outreach projects that approach the homeless population to offer help
- Support the laundry station with washing and drying
- Helping to prepare legal documents and file them
- Support the uninterrupted flow of a non-profit office

How to Apply
- Select your start date & duration: All IVHQ volunteer programs are available year-round and you can choose to volunteer for durations on this program ranging from 1 to 12 weeks.
- Complete your registration: After you have been accepted on your chosen program, you can secure your place by paying the Registration Fee.
- Pay your Program Fee: This is only due 30 days before your program starts.
