Internship Details
Interns in Athens will have the opportunity to support professional Veterinarians in their day-to-day provision of routine medical care to a range of domestic animals, as well as marine mammals, reptiles and birds from all over the world. Your team will consist of professional animal curators, educators and veterinarians actively involved in wildlife conservation efforts “in situ” (in the animals original home) and “ex situ” (the conservation in which the animal has been moved).
The Veterinary internship is facilitated through a Zoological Park whose EAZA (European Association of Zoos and Aquaria) and EAMM (European Association of Marine Mammals) membership means it conforms to strict guidelines regarding animal welfare, husbandry, conservation, education and security.
