ABOUT THE PROGRAM
In traditional times, Manoa valley was expertly cared for and cultivated by Native Hawaiians. In return, it provided abundant sustenance and protection for its residents. Today, Manoa continues to furnish the resources that enable the institution to be a thriving land-, sea-, space-, and sun-grant university. In keeping with the Native Hawaiian manner of reciprocity, these blessings are passed on to you in the form of academic excellence that you are equipped to take care of yourself, humanity, Hawai‘i, and the world. Wellina mai (welcome) to an educational experience like none found anywhere else in the world.

Located in beautiful Manoa valley, UH Manoa is three miles from downtown Honolulu and less than a mile from Waikiki. Honolulu has many unique features and characteristics, is home to America’s only royal palace, and is known for its tropical climate, lush green landscape, diverse population, and community spirit known as aloha.
